Day 8 : Teardrops in the Rain

Location : Ssamziegil, Insadong & Itaewon
Date : 31st October 2014

안녕...

From Gyeongbokgung Palace, we move to Insadong. Insadong and Buckhon is located at the same area. The station is also the same, what make it different is only the exit number.

Direction to Insadong

Anguk Station Exit 5. Go straight 100m and turn left.

Fee

Free

What they have in Insadong? What can we do there? Shopping!!! Hahahaa...there are a lot of souvenir shops with different and uniqe designs. Compared to Namdaemun, the price is a little bit pricey but you can find different designs that you won't get if you shop at Namdaemun. Of course, the quality is better too. Honestly, I prefer Insadong than Namdaemun to shop. We can also find variety of K-foods especially at the back of the alley. It's up to yourselves to choose according to own preferences. On top of that, this area is a combination of arts and cultures.

Haaa...kat Insadong ni lah yang aku maksudkan 'Teardrops in the Rain'. Gempak giler tajuk post. Harus tak gempak??? My money is gone. Here...here...here!!! Unintentionally, I shop quite a lot of stuffs here. I repeat...UNINTENTIONALLY! Hahaaa...alasan, kan! I don't even know what I've bought for. Aigooo! Woman...sometimes can be so dangerous when it comes to money

Before, I read about Ssamziegil. During my first visit last year, I saw this building located in between of other shops. But I didn't go inside so this time I take this opportunity to go in. Walk around and cuci mata. They have over 70 shops including handicraft stores, souvenir shops, art galleries, restaurants and more. More information here They open from 10am to 10.30pm.

From Insadong we proceed to Itaewon. Lapar wei! So we take subway and go straight to Muree Restaurant. Lots of travelers suggest this restaurant if you want to try halal local food.

Direction to Muree Restaurant

Itaewon Station Line 6 Exit 3. Go straight and find Itaewon fire station. Turn right and go uphill. The restaurant is on the right.

Fee

The price is up to your appetite :) But as usual, halal food is always a little bit pricey.

Recommendation

Bulgogi & Japchae (Based on my preferences)

Eyes open widely when the meals come. What a long~ day! Since morning and up till just now, we only able to eat once. Or...maybe I can say this is our first-proper-meals for today. Raining almost the whole day, how could our stomach won't feel hungry at all. Both of us looks like piranha and at this moment everybody eat silently, enjoying the food so much :D Malay aphorism says 'Gendang gendut tali kecapi, kenyang perut senang hati'. Haaa...memang betul pun. Just now, we feel like nak telan orang je...now, heheee~Moh ler kite balik rumah.
